Cape Town based producer / DJ “Cosher” has reworked a true South African classic, by the legendary “Mango Groove”. His modern style rework of the iconic song “Special Star” draws from the drama, suspense, and swing feelings of the original, while maintaining a modern style and a fresh take at the production and arrangement to be compatible with today’s radio and listening formats.
His blend of modern sounds and production along with the newly performed vocals by Cape Town Based top 10 Idols singer Niyaaz, gives the song a new appeal, while still being relevant and nostalgic to the older generation who will relate to the highly recognisable elements of the original composition.
